Alight Tempe

I moved in on August 14, 2026, expecting a clean 3-bedroom unit. My own room had been cleaned, but the rest of the house was left in terrible condition by the previous roommates, and nothing had been done to prep it before I moved in. Cleanliness: The kitchen sink was discolored, damaged, and had ants crawling on it. The fridge reeked — clearly hadn't been cleaned out properly. The floors throughout the common areas looked like they hadn't been swept or mopped in months; thick dust and dirt everywhere, almost like walking on a street rather than an apartment floor.

There were so many problems that went untreated by staff while I lived here. For one, the water was shut off for hours at a time with zero notice countless times. Another issue was that the elevator in my building was broken for months and then "fixed" for a few days and then broken again for another few weeks multiple times. Even when it was "working" I would get stuck in the elevator until someone called it on another floor so I could get out.

Been living here for the past 6 months, absolutely horrific experience. There are so many cons to living here, it is so bad that I will have to number them: 1) Biggest issues are deliveries, no dedicated place for packages. Courier/ delivery partners cannot enter your building. They might leave it at the leasing office but only from 10am to 6pm on Monday to Friday. If it arrives any other time, 99% your mail is getting lost or returned to sender. If you use food delivery apps, you have to walk down your building, every single time!
