Predatory move-out charges I had a decent time living here until, upon move-out, the building nickel-and-dimed us for every tiny nail hole, scuff, and piece of trash left behind. I was initially charged $635, including $400 for a carpet replacement for <1 square foot of damage, $55 to clean said carpet, and $180 for miscellaneous damages. I believe that almost all of the miscellaneous charges fall under standard wear-and-tear, which, under Texas state law, landlords are not allowed to charge for. It took five emails over the span of 11 days to get a response from them.

Watch out for exorbitant fees if you pay by credit card. They will automatically enroll you in "credit protection" program unless you opt out. They should have made this an opt-in rather. We should have been more careful in dealing with this apt.

Pretty good apartment overall, just expect dirt to be painted over and your room to not be the most clean on move-in.
