Ion Lincoln Park

I’m a student at DePaul and was looking for a place close to campus, so I stumbled across Ion and figured it would be convenient for my first off-campus place. By far the worst place you could stay; these building managers are scammers and will quite literally rob you. When I originally toured Ion, they didn’t let me see the room I would be staying in; they showed me a prop room. They said, “The room I would be in wasn’t available and had residents inside.” Moving forward, I was in a double and didn’t have a roommate for a week.

Horrible apartments, horrible staff, super rude and they charge you extra for every stupid little thing. Staff works against the tenant.

I read and read the reviews but didn't think it would pertain to our family, to be honest. That was a huge mistake. Please be careful moving your kid into ION. I gave them an extra star because safety and proximity to school was excellent. We had an issue where the leasing office shredded our cashiers check before it was processed. Yep you heard that right! A college student was working in the office, apparently. Which led to a long battle to get the cashiers check recovered from our bank to resubmit the payment. The entire process took over 9 months to fix!
