Shoreline Gateway in downtown Long Beach
Shoreline Gateway is an apartment complex in downtown Long Beach. The company says its tower is the tallest building in the city.
Its website places the building between the East Village Arts District and the downtown waterfront. It says residents live one block from a Vons grocery store.
Across Long Beach, 61 percent of homes are heated with utility gas, per the American Community Survey for 2024. The median home in the city was built in 1959.
Rooftop pool, coworking space and a dog deck
The company names a secured deck where residents can bring their dogs. It also describes a shared coworking space for people who work from home. At the top of the building sits a rooftop pool and spa, which the company calls the tallest on the West Coast.
The leasing office opens seven days a week, with its longest hours on weekdays. The complex holds a 4.4 rating from 163 Google reviews.
Most reviewers praise the leasing team and the maintenance crew. Several also say the building and its shared spaces are kept clean and in good repair. A few are critical of how management treats residents.
The company states it operates through Greystar California, Inc., which holds California broker license No. 1525765.
From the upper floors, the company says, residents look out over downtown Long Beach to an open view of the Pacific Ocean.
Google Reviews
Nice place to live, leasing staff and manager are pleasant and the property is well maintained. The maintenance team is doing a good job. Only thing better would be the landscape surrounding the building - an actual fence around the protected areas would elevate the space.
Another crazy example of why to avoid this place: management just issued a five-day entry notice, essentially expecting residents to be available for apartment entry at any time during that period. Instead of respecting residents’ time with a reasonably specific appointment, they expect you to put your life on hold for their convenience. It’s just another example of the complete lack of respect for the people who live here. I live at Shoreline Gateway, a luxury high-rise in downtown Long Beach, but recent developments have raised serious concerns.
jose working the front has goes above and beyond when it comes to his work and customer service!
